Made in India, for India
Write down where everything is, once.
Heirloom is a private record of what you own and where the papers are, so the people you love can find and claim everything without guessing.
The quiet problem
Families lose money simply because nobody knew it existed.
A term policy no one remembers. An old FD in a bank that closed its branch. A folio number written in a diary that got lost. When the details live only in one person's head, they leave with that person, and the family is left guessing during some very hard weeks.
How it works
Three simple steps, and then it's handled.
Record what you have
List your assets and where the papers are, for example "term policy at HDFC Life, documents in the bank locker." You note what exists and where to find it.
Name who receives it
Choose the spouse or heirs who should receive the map. They get read-only, tiered access, so they see only what you decide to share and nothing more.
They get a guided plan
When the time comes, your family receives a calm, step-by-step plan, sequenced by urgency, with India-specific guidance for claiming each asset.
What it keeps, and what it never touches
Heirloom keeps a map to your assets. It never keeps the keys to them.
What Heirloom stores
- What exists, the assets you own
- Where the documents are kept
- Who to contact for each one
- How to claim it, step by step
What it never stores
- Passwords
- OTPs
- Account credentials
- The documents themselves
Everything in one place
Nine kinds of things a family forgets to look for.
More than money
The things that aren't on any statement.
Alongside the practical, Heirloom holds the personal: a voice note, a photograph, or a letter written to one particular person, delivered to them when the time comes. These are the parts of you that no claim form can capture.
Security & control
You stay in control the whole way.
Kept in India
Your data is hosted entirely in India, in the AWS Mumbai region, and designed for Indian data-protection expectations.
Encrypted at rest
Sensitive content is encrypted at rest with keys held in a hardware-backed key service. Media and personal content are encrypted by the app before they're ever stored.
A cooling-off you control
Any release to family goes through a cooling-off period. You're notified and can veto it while you're alive, so nothing is handed over without your knowledge.
Tiered, read-only access
Recipients see only what you share, read-only. A trusted CA or lawyer can be given an overview without the sensitive detail.
Tamper-evident audit log
Every access and release event is recorded in a tamper-evident log, so there's always a clear, honest trail of what happened and when.
Claim guidance per asset
India-specific pointers for what each claim needs, such as policy and folio numbers, UAN, PRAN, DP IDs, and locker numbers.
Questions, answered plainly
Frequently asked
Do you store my documents or passwords?
No. Heirloom never stores passwords, OTPs, account credentials, or the documents themselves. It stores the map: what you have, where it is, who to contact, and how to claim it.
Who can see my information?
Only the people you name. Access is read-only and tiered, so each person sees just what you decide to share. A trusted CA or lawyer can be given an overview without the sensitive detail.
What stops a release while I'm alive?
Every release goes through an owner-controlled cooling-off period. You're notified and can veto it while you're alive, so nothing is ever handed over without your say.
Where is my data kept?
Entirely in India, in the AWS Mumbai region. Sensitive content is encrypted at rest, with personal media encrypted by the app before it's stored.
